Hard Knocks Episode 1 Recap

Thursday Aug 08, 2024

Thursday Aug 08, 2024

On this week's episode of The Juice Time Podcast, Noah Adamany and Nick Osen shared their elation for the Chicago Bears being featured on HBO's flagship program known as Hard Knocks, leading up to the 2024 NFL season!

Noah expressed his disdain for the extensive coverage of Jonathan Owens' trek to Paris in order to witness his wife Simone Biles compete in the Olympics, as there should have been more of a focus on the team's efforts throughout the first couple weeks of training camp. Noah and Nick both agreed that the highlight of the first episode was Nick Saban paying a visit to his former player in Bears head coach Matt Eberflus. Nick marveled at the connection between Saban and Eberflus after being away from the University of Toledo for nearly 35 years.

Ultimately, Noah and Nick looked forward to the Bears' preseason matchup on Saturday afternoon against a familiar face in Mitchell Trubisky, who will be quarterbacking the Buffalo Bills' offense for the majority of the contest in Orchard Park.

2024 NFL Draft Recap

Monday Apr 29, 2024

Monday Apr 29, 2024

On this week's episode of The Juice Time Podcast, Noah Adamany and Nick Osen highlighted their beloved Chicago Bears' selections in the 2024 NFL Draft! They both recognized the magnitude of adding Heisman Trophy winner Caleb Williams to the already weapon-filled offense constructed for a rookie QB to have great success in year one as a starter. Additionally, Noah and Nick shared elation for the No. 9 overall pick in this year's draft, as the Bears brought in Rome Odunze from the University of Washington, who just so happened to be the most productive wide receiver in college football during the 2023 season.

Ultimately, Noah emphasized the fact that there's no excuse for Chicago to do anything less than reach the postseason in 2024, as all of the puzzle pieces have been placed correctly, and it's time to play high-caliber football on every phase of the game. Nick believed falling short of at least a winning record this year would be a major disappointment, considering the countless offseason moves that put this team in a position to earn victories any given Sunday.

Thursday Mar 21, 2024

On this week's episode of The Juice Time Podcast, Noah Adamany and Nick Osen expressed their frustration and disappointment with the Bears moving on from quarterback Justin Fields, as he was traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers over the weekend. Noah emphasized that Fields was never put in a position to succeed as a franchise quarterback, with minimal weapons and an offensive line unable to keep him off the ground. Ultimately, Noah and Nick were optimistic about the future of their beloved franchise, as Caleb Williams is seemingly a generational prospect with two elite wide receivers waiting for him in Chicago.

Moving forward, Noah and Nick both agreed that the first weekend of March Madness is arguably the best four-day stretch of the calendar year in sports! They were over the moon to be reuniting in New York City to catch their Wisconsin Badgers square off against the James Madison University Dukes. Noah shared that the tournament will be fruitful for Big East teams down the stretch, whereas Nick believed Caleb Love will have an opportunity to seek revenge against his former team in the UNC Tar Heels. This is March!

Friday Mar 15, 2024

On this week's episode of The Juice Time Podcast, Noah Adamany and Nick Osen highlighted several free agent signings made by their beloved Chicago Bears upon the beginning of the new league year! Moving forward, Noah and Nick recognized two former Eagles in Kevin Byard and D'Andre Swift making their way to the Midwest, as they both signed multi-year deals to play ball in Chicago. Ultimately, Noah was ecstatic about Swift's decision to join the Bears, as he produced over 1000 yards on the ground in 2023, and will become the bell cow tailback as part of Chicago's offense. Lastly, Nick praised GM Ryan Poles for the immediate splashes made upon the opening of free agency, and recognized that there is plenty of work to be done before the draft in April.

This episode of The Juice Time Podcast was recorded prior to the Bears' acquisition of wide receiver Keenan Allen.

Super Bowl 58 Recap

Friday Feb 16, 2024

Friday Feb 16, 2024

On this week's episode of The Juice Time Podcast, Noah Adamany and Nick Osen highlighted the Kansas City Chiefs as repeat Super Bowl Champions, after an overtime thriller on Sunday night in Las Vegas! They both recognized Chiefs Kingdom as the present-day dynasty of the NFL, and shared belief in Patrick Mahomes' ability to do the unimaginable next year by winning three Championships in as many seasons.

Noah credited Kansas City's defense for being a major cog in extending the football game to overtime, as the secondary batted down a Brock Purdy pass on a crucial third down, and the defensive line added a tremendous amount of pressure down the stretch. Ultimately, Noah and Nick were impressed by the resilience of Travis Kelce, as he was a non-factor in the first half, but became a playmaker on clock-winding drives for the Chiefs in winning time. They both agreed that SB LVIII was an all-time battle gifted by the Football Gods, one that will not be soon forgotten.

Saturday Jan 13, 2024

On this week's episode of The Juice Time Podcast, Noah Adamany and Nick Osen shared their elation with the Bears moving forward without Luke Getsy as the franchise's offensive coordinator! They both agreed that Getsy's inability to call complete games led to his demise, as Chicago lost three of its contests with a two-score lead in the fourth quarter. Noah emphasized the importance of hiring a new offensive coordinator that does not rely so heavily on the ground game to close out victories down the stretch. Nick also recognized the lack of creativity in terms of play calling that Getsy became most known for during his two years in control of the Bears' offensive unit.

Moving forward, Noah and Nick were over the moon to preview Super Wild Card Weekend, as there are several remarkable matchups over the course of three days to open up postseason action! Noah highlighted Sunday afternoon's battle at Jerry's World between two high-powered offenses in the Dallas Cowboys and Green Bay Packers. He predicted a revenge victory for Mike McCarthy, and a dominant performance for edge rusher Micah Parsons against Green Bay's front five attempting to protect Jordan Love. Nick had his eyes set on a match only the Football Gods could draw up, as Jared Goff hosts his former team in the LA Rams for a home playoff game at Ford Field.

Friday Jan 05, 2024

On this week's episode of The Juice Time Podcast, Noah Adamany and Nick Osen engaged in discussion about the NFL Pro Bowl Games roster release, as well as previewed Sunday afternoon's matchup between their beloved Chicago Bears and arch rival Green Bay Packers!

Noah and Nick both expressed a great deal of frustration with DJ Moore's name being left off the NFC Pro Bowl roster, as the first-year Bear has reached career-highs in receiving yards and touchdowns with Justin Fields throwing him the football. They were ultimately happy to report on two defensive stars in Jaylon Johnson and Montez Sweat earning Pro Bowl honors for the first time in their respective careers.

Sunday Dec 17, 2023

On this week's episode of The Juice Time Podcast, Noah Adamany and Nick Osen highlighted their beloved Chicago Bears' stifling defensive performance against a division rival in the Detroit Lions! Noah emphasized the defensive unit's ability to not allow any points in the second half, keeping the hungry Lions at bay. He also recognized DJ Moore's two-touchdown outing, which moved the wideout closer to earning a new career-high in receiving touchdowns for a single season. Nick was impressed by Justin Fields' protection of the football, as Chicago's quarterback managed to pitch a clean game, while finding pay dirt through the air, and on the ground.

Moving forward, Noah and Nick both agreed that the Bears' Week 15 matchup against the Cleveland Browns will be tough sledding, as Myles Garrett has a nose for the quarterback, and a unique ability to blow up plays at the line of scrimmage. Noah shared that the key to a victory for Chicago on the road is making opposing quarterback Joe Flacco uncomfortable, and forcing the football out of his hands early. Nick predicted a sneak-it-out type of win for the Bears, as they have a slight edge in terms of offensive competence down the stretch of this season.
